| We at
INFOsearch, recommend that you add your own material to a separate new database. That way
you can take regular backups of your own data. First thing you will need to do is Open
INFOsearch. Once INFOsearch is up and running you will see this screen below. |

|
What
you want to do is, click on FILE on the menu bar up the top. That will open this screen
below. |

Now
you want to select the options that says NEW. that brings up a new screen below. |

|
If
you notice over to the right of the screen it will show you the names of your databases
that you already have. What you need to do now is, in the name field type the name of your
new database (you have 8 characters). Below the name field, is the description field. This
is were you put a description of your new database (you can leave it blank if you want).
As soon as you have typed the name of your new database, you will need to hit the CREATE
button. see below |

|
Now
that you have created a new database you will need to hit the CLOSE button. Once you have
clicked the CLOSE button, you will be back to the INFOsearch Search screen. Notice you now
have a new tag down the bottom. Mine has a letter "N". see below |

|
Now
that you have created a new database, it is time to start adding your own material to it.
The first thing you will need to do is click on your new tag. Once you have clicked on it
you will get a message (see below). |

|
All
you will need to do is hit the OK button. As soon as you hit the OK button you are back
into your INFOsearch search screen. Notice now that you don't have any topics on the left
hand side. The only time you will see this is when you add a new database. see below |

|
Now
what you need to do is go up to the top of your INFOsearch to the menu bar and click on
the ADD menu. see below |

|
Once
you have clicked on that you will have a few more options (see above). We want to select
the option that says KEYBOARD. Once you have selected KEYBOARD, you will be taken to the
DISPLAY screen. see below |

|
This
is were you start adding your own material. If you notice, there are 3 blank spaces. The
long one up the top is were you write the TITLE. The big space in the middle is were you
write your paragraph(s). The smaller space to the left is were you write the topics for
your material. Once you have finished, you will need to hit the SAVE button. As soon as you
hit the save button, you will be prompted with this message. see below |
